Here at Play to Learn we not only sustain our environment but we also sustain our culture as well within our community. This month we celebrated India Independence Day and our tamariki had lots of opportunities to engage themselves in various learning experiences such as doing collage pasting, learning about the Taj Mahal and drawing pictures of it, and playing with green playdough.
We dressed up wearing different colours (white, orange, green) representing the Indian flag and we listened to the National Anthem and our kaiako explained the meaning to our tamariki. It has been a great learning experience for all of us here at Play to Learn.
