Extended Child Care Opening Hours
At Play to Learn, we know that early morning childcare can be hard to find. This can cause problems for families who work shifts or need to start work early.
To help our families with this, we have extended our child care opening hours to accept children from 6.45am.
We offer care for children from birth to school age. Play to Learn ELC caters for 10 under two-years ( Kea Room) and 30 children aged over two two-year-olds (Kiwi room). We run a mixed-age centre because we believe that children flourish when they are allowed to develop relationships with a range of other children. However, all our infants and toddlers have a primary caregiver. So they can develop a close relationship with one member of staff.
At Play to Learn ELC, we work closely with our families to create routines for children at the centre that are similar to their routines at home. Enrolling your child for early morning childcare should not disrupt their morning routine. We have individual cots and bedding for children to sleep in, so if your child needs a little extra rest when they arrive in the morning, that will not be a problem.
We also cook meals on-site which are offered to all full-time children and cater to individual dietary needs if required.
We accept WINZ subsidies and 20-hour subsidies for 3 and 4-year-olds – although limited spaces, so please check.
